Originally, the area had an asphalting street surface, which was later renovated into a pedestrian walkway. This 700-meter-long and 15-meter-wide pedestrian-friendly commercial district enhances the already bustling atmosphere of Zhongping, making it ideal for shopping. Most local stores specialize in fashion apparel and youth trends, while notable shops in the area include Xin Zhen Xiang Crispy Candy, Zhongli Meatball House, Fengshu Xia Grandma's Nostalgic Icing Shop, and several full-beef restaurants. Additional trendy apparel brands have also established locations here. A nearby Japanese-style double-building structure located close to the business district, with over 80 years of history, was renovated and reopened as the "Zhongping Road Story House," marking the first urban story house in Taoyuan City.
