It is located in the Toushe area and is an irrigation reservoir under the Nantou Agricultural Waterworks Association. The Toushe Basin has fertile land, but it lacks a complete irrigation system to provide a stable and sufficient water supply to the Toushe area. The planning, investigation and design of the reservoir began in February 1975, and it was completed in December 1979. Since the Toushe area has not been severely damaged by large-scale human activities, it still has rich ecological resources. In addition, it is a good place to admire fireflies in April and May every year.
