It started out as a store selling military supplies, daily necessities, and hardware. After the number of soldiers declined, the proprietress took over the restaurant from her sister-in-law, and it’s been about ten years since. Here, besides the scallion pancakes and egg pancakes that veterans still dream of after discharge, there’s also the proprietress’s boundless energy and generous warmth. She says the vegetables are grown by herself, the noodles hand-rolled—chewy, thick, and paired with double-egg portions so hearty that every guest leaves wearing a satisfied smile. You won’t understand that feeling until you’ve tasted it yourself!
