Along the road from Daya Road in Chiayi City to Fanlu Township in Chiayi County, there are many restaurants of various styles and characteristics lining the way. After passing through Chiayi and arriving at Fanlu Township, we found a restaurant that stands out from others—a local flavor place called “Cai Gong Dian Lao Dian Tu Yao Ji.” From the name alone, it is clear that “Tu Yao Ji” (earth‑kiln chicken) is the flagship dish. Inside the restaurant, the signature “Tu Yao Ji” is prepared using traditional methods, with a broth made from Chinese medicinal herbs and chicken meat that is tender and delicate.
