After passing the imperial examination to become a Jinshi, Mr. Ding Shouquan expanded and renovated his family's residence, enhancing its noble and magnificent appearance. Covering over 300 square pings with a total depth of 75 meters, the early architectural layout featured a grand compound arranged according to the traditional "three kan, five luo, two overwater" style. In traditional street architecture, a single shopfront shop was called "a kan," and each entrance section was referred to as "a luo."
