Founded in 1833, the 13th year of the Qing Emperor Daoguang’s reign, Lantian Academy was relocated to its present site in 1864. One of the seven major historic sites in Nantou County and a designated national third-grade monument, the academy abounds in cultural relics. Students often come here to study and seek its blessing, soaking in an atmosphere steeped in heritage.
