Shenqing Temple, known locally as Zhang Yugu Temple, occupies a vast area near the estuary of the Dadu River. The protected forest and mudflats adjacent to the temple were once important nesting and resting grounds for egrets and ducks at the Dadu River mouth. A bird-watching area and observation platform have been established, and the tranquil surroundings make it an ideal spot for birdwatching and viewing the sunset over the Dadu River.
