Haihui Temple was built in 1928 during the Shōwa period in Japan. It enshrines the Western Three Sages: Amitabha, Guanyin, and Mahasthamaprapta, as well as Sakyamuni. In front of the temple, there are several large sweet osmanthus trees with dense foliage. The fragrance of the osmanthus flowers wafts through the air, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The temple is nestled among mountains on three sides, with a valley in front. From a distance, one can gaze out at the city of Hsinchu, the coastal areas of Xiangshan and Zhunan, and the twinkling lights of the fishing boats, creating a sense of detachment from worldly concerns.
