Also Art Gallery was established in the autumn of 2002, dedicated to promoting Taiwan's unique contemporary art, and effectively implementing a comprehensive management system for young contemporary artists. It has achieved professional division of labor in the art field, and aims to develop contemporary art in a sustainable and enduring manner.
In 2008, Also Art Gallery moved to the surrounding area of the Taipei City Museum of Fine Arts, near the Yuanshan MRT station, and located within the local cultural and artistic community. From then on, Also Art Gallery has taken on a new image. It focuses on presenting various visual arts in a white-box style, including from plane creations to new media art, and regularly holds special art exhibitions at home and abroad, thus becoming a diverse platform for contemporary art exchange.
Like the cross-shaped development of Also Art Gallery, it is deeply rooted in the vertical direction of Taiwan's contemporary art, developing a complete management system to lead young Taiwanese artists to grow. In the horizontal direction, it actively expands outward, with exhibition experience across various countries such as Germany, Paris, Japan, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. It also collaborates with international curators, academic institutions, and cross-industry partners, aiming to promote the visibility of Taiwan's contemporary art internationally, shaping a broad and profound art management model, which has received high recognition from the Taiwanese cultural and artistic circles and collectors. In 2010, it even made the list of the top 100 galleries in China, establishing Also Art Gallery's international positioning.
The young, energetic and vibrant image of Also Art Gallery is supported by a solid and stable art management philosophy. Keeping pace with the ever-changing contemporary art trends, Also Art Gallery will continue to strive to inject new young blood into contemporary art, and constantly nourish Taiwan's cultural and artistic endeavors.
