Miao Chong Temple was established in 1963 in Qianzhen District, Kaohsiung. Later, due to the Kaohsiung City Government's need to widen the road, the temple was relocated in 1984 to the quiet Qingshanshan. It is now located at the 7km point of Provincial Highway 27, with a serene environment that offers an exceptional view of the Laocong River's scenic beauty. Comprising seven halls, the temple's walls are adorned with intricately carved Buddha statues, the craftsmanship of which is so exquisite that they can be considered works of art. The site provides a broad panoramic view, making it ideal for ascending to higher ground and enjoying the distant scenery.
