The graceful arch of Long Rainbow Bridge spans above the estuary of Shiguolan Creek on both shores, creating a beautiful rainbow-like shadow at the convergence of mountains and sea, and has become a famous photo spot along the East Coast. This is also the endpoint of white-water rafting, where one after one of tired yet satisfied rafting groups arrive at the shoreline. Walking along the trail beside the creek, delicate waterbirds forage near the riverbed, and bicycles pass to and fro. Hibolan Island, also known as Lion Ball Island, is a lush green islet considered a sacred site by the coastal Amis people. Composed of volcanic breccia, this island remains remarkably natural due to the isolation caused by the creek. A variety of birds foraging at the estuary, fish migrating upstream, and crabs and shrimps gather there, making it an excellent location for ecological observation.
