In the park near the National Palace Museum in Taipei City's Wenshan River area, a uniquely themed area displays indigenous cultural imagery. This indigenous cultural theme park showcases an enhanced cultural experience designed in collaboration with our office and the Indigenous Committee, inviting indigenous artists to create works such as tribal figurines, depictions of adolescent boys with dogs, rice-pounding figures, hand motif sculptures, human motif sculptures, sculptures of black bears, sika deer, and mother-child stoneware. These artworks enable citizens in Taipei City to experience indigenous lifestyles up close. The park's entrance features a spacious, grand plaza, with a path inside paved with totemic tiles. Following this route leads into the lakeside wooded boardwalk area where bald cypresses and various aquatic plants like wild ginger and water lilies are planted. Along the way, stone benches, stone walls, and diverse totemic tiles combine with native flora to create an environment rich in ecology and embodying indigenous living imagery.
This indigenous culture thematic park not only displays indigenous art but also highlights the cultures of Taiwan's Pingpu, Yami, Kavalan, Seediq, Bunun, Puyuma, Rukai, Amis, Tsou, Saisiyat, and Atayal peoples, along with the origins of these groups. By exploring the indigenous attitude and spirit of living harmoniously with nature, we can better understand their world of living art. The Indigenous Cultural Theme Park warmly welcomes your visit.
