台中市太平區東汴里酒桶山
At an elevation of 977 meters, Jiujiu Mountain, despite its name suggesting a resemblance to a wine barrel, is actually a series of undulating mountain peaks that resemble a line of nine water buckets. The winding industrial roads through the mountains add a unique charm. At the summit, there is a leisure farm and bed-and-breakfasts nestled among lush gardens. From the observation deck, one can overlook the entirety of Greater Taichung, Changhua, and Nantou. The mountain ranges, hills, and streams are all visible, and even ships traveling across the Taiwan Strait can be clearly seen. During the day, there are beautiful morning glows and vibrant orange sunsets. At night, the view transforms into a stunning nightscape, especially after rain, when the sea of clouds lingers in the mountains, creating an ever-changing landscape where peaks appear and disappear, resembling islands in the ocean. The diverse and enchanting cloud formations in the valleys make the scene even more captivating.
