苗栗縣獅潭鄉小東勢24號
The main hall is dedicated to Guan Gong, and the incense is prosperous. The mountain is shrouded in a misty veil all year round, with clouds often soaring through the mountains, creating an ethereal and mystical ambiance. The Lingdong Temple is a magnificent structure with golden and jade-like brilliance, adorned with intricate carvings and paintings. The mountain, originally named "Red Hair Hall Mountain", is located at the border of Lihui and Nanjhuang, with an altitude of 967 meters. It was renamed "Xianshan" due to a legend that a spring on the mountain, known as "Xianshui", can cure all diseases. The Lingdong Temple, situated on the mountain slope, consists of two layers. The upper layer is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, while the lower layer honors the Eastern Ruler and various deities of the three teachings. The Xianshui spring is located beside the Xieling Palace, behind the Lingdong Temple. A short walk up a small staircase leads to a pavilion where the spring water can be collected. The Xianshan mountain entrance is on the left side of the Xieling Palace, and it takes about half an hour to reach the base. With an altitude of nearly a thousand meters, Xianshan stands between Red-tailed Mountain and Bagua Ridge, renowned for its curative spring water. The mountain and its spring have been associated with many legends of divine efficacy, and the Lingdong Temple on Xianshan is equally impressive, shrouded in a perpetual veil of mist. The Lingdong Temple is a palace-style architectural complex situated in the heart of Xianshan, surrounded by perpetual mist and clouds. The temple gained fame after a spring was discovered on the mountain, which was believed to cure all diseases. The temple has since become a popular destination for devotees who come to worship, collect Xianshui spring water, and marvel at the breathtaking scenery from the temple's platform.
