The Pōngléi waterfall at the Abseiling Waterfall Spot, though the early cable car was stopped after the 921 earthquake, remains a highly popular attraction in Caoling. It takes about a 20‑minute walk to reach it, and the trail is not very difficult. With a height difference of 70 metres, the waterfall is grand and tall, with a powerful and robust presence, and is nicknamed the “first scenic spot of Caoling”.
