Each floor has nine rooms representing nine different ethnic groups. The design concept of the nine suite types is based on the characteristics, culture, and specialties of each ethnic group. Many symbols belonging to the indigenous people are transformed into spatial elements. In the ever-changing space, we search for the simplest element arrangement and find innovative techniques in tradition. The interior is decorated with various indigenous wood carvings, stone carvings, embroidered paintings, and drawings. Most of these artworks are the works of Mr. Li Guangxiong, the father of music master Li Taixiang. Mr. Li Guangxiong is also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Zhikuan, the creator of various indigenous carvings at the Hualien Yasudon Hotel. As a master of the 50s and 60s, Mr. Li Guangxiong's works are displayed on the hotel's reception desk and in every room, guiding guests to experience the simple and rustic charm of indigenous life, hunting, and farming.
