As a Taipei native, do you know anything about Taipei? Welcome to the Taipei Exploration Hall to learn about the details of Taipei. The Taipei Exploration Hall has four floors. The first floor is the Taipei Impressions Hall, which presents the image of Taipei through text, images, and videos. The second floor is the Special Exhibition Hall, which frequently holds related exhibitions. The third floor is the City Exploration Hall, where you can see the changes of Taipei streets such as Kaiduanlan Avenue, Zhongshan North Road, Dunhua South and North Road, and Zhongxiao East Road, as well as the historical evolution of Ximending and Xinyi District. The fourth floor is the Time and Space Dialogue Hall, which has interactive installations, replicas of ancient city walls, pictures, artifacts, and model facilities. If you want to understand the origins of Wanhua, Dadaocheng, Taipei City, and the Tamsui River, this is the right place.
The first floor's Taipei Impressions Hall features a minimalist style that immediately evokes the atmosphere of a culturally rich Taipei. The multi-layered media images on the main wall and the floor projection demonstrate the smiles and frowns of Taipei.
The second floor's Special Exhibition Hall may not be large in size, but it is "a small bird with all the internal organs," mainly cooperating with relevant city departments or public concerns, regularly holding special exhibitions.
The third floor's City Exploration Hall is a place where you can freely let your imagination run wild, taking the evolution of Taipei streets to lead the audience to trace the development path of Taipei.
The fourth floor's Time and Space Dialogue Hall represents the development of the city and the evolution of history, like taking a time machine back to the past Taipei, experiencing the artistic conception of the contrast between ancient and modern times and the transformation of time and space.
The Discovery Theater's 360-degree large screen plays four films: "The Origin of the City," "City Life," "City Charm," and "Good Times in Taipei," presenting various stories and reflections about Taipei City, suitable for people of all ages to explore here.
