金湖鎮四維路南石滬公園
Nanshihu Park is known as the "Mini Zhangjiajie," located at the southeast corner of Kinmen, outside the coastal area of Laoluo Village. It was once a quarry for underground granite rocks. The granite rocks produced in Kinmen have diverse and elegant patterns, and their hardness is even better than marble. Many famous buildings, such as the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Taoyuan International Airport, have their building materials sourced from here. After the granite mining ceased in 2002 due to its lack of economic benefits, the quarry was transformed into the current Nanshihu Park in order to comply with environmental protection. Entering the park, you can greet the little wind lion statues by the reservoir. The water pool behind the stone railing reflects the granite walls, and the human excavation traces make the rock walls uniquely beautiful, resembling a mini version of Zhangjiajie. It complements the Laoluo Bay at the other end, recording Kinmen's past industrial cultural history. This place also has the country's first-ever "Shouting Spring" facility, which is very popular. Many people come here to shout loudly to relieve stress, and watching the spring water spray high is very therapeutic! The opening hours of the Shouting Spring are as follows: (1) Summer time: from April to September, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (2) Winter time: from October to March, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fee for each experience is 20 New Taiwan Dollars, and you need to bring your own change.
