台南市七股區篤加47之7號
Dugang settlement was formed by the Qiu family gradually. All the households there bear the surname Qiu. It is the most intact and largest single-surname blood-type settlement in Taiwan. The ancestors of Dugang settlement moved from Fujian to Taiwan, started families, multiplied, and lived in groups. This process is like the early development of Tainan, a microcosm of the formation of settlements. Located in Qigou District, Dugang is a beautiful fishing village. It was famous for its abundant milkfish in early times, and now it is an important production area for Taiwanese mullet roe, with a total cultivation area of more than 250 hectares. The "Dugang Settlement Cultural and Artifact Exhibition Hall" is the first settlement-based museum in Tainan. It is planned and operated with the concept of a community museum. It is divided into four areas and eight themes. The overall space and route use multimedia, artifacts, photos, documents and videos to present the diverse aspects of Dugang settlement culture. The exhibition hall is not open to the public normally. If you want to visit, please contact the community activity center in advance.
