宜蘭縣蘇澳鎮朝陽社區內
The Chaoyang National Trail is located on the south side of the Chaoyang Community in Nan'ao Village, on the hills of Guishan Mountain. The trail has three entrances and exits, and the main trail is approximately 2.2 kilometers long. Along the way, there are four observation decks where visitors can take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Suhua Coast, Wushi Bay, Dingqing Lake, Twin Peaks Mountain, and Mysterious Beach. The Chaoyang National Trail is surrounded by diverse native plants, birds, and amphibians. Visitors can often look up and see a black-breasted leaf turtle perched on a treetop, or unexpected guests appearing in the grass. The trail not only allows for hiking and relaxation but also provides an opportunity to learn about the local flora and fauna. Next to the trail, there are plant guide signs that list 12 plants along the trail, named after the 12 zodiac animals, using their names or homophones. Walking under the shade, the trail gradually becomes flatter, and finally, visitors reach the highest point of the trail, Guishan Mountain. Standing on Guishan Mountain, visitors can overlook the blue Pacific Ocean and the bay, take in the beauty of Nan'ao Fishing Harbor, and watch the sunrise from the sea. This is a great place to visit, with different scenic beauty and charm in every season.
