Founded in 1984, Xiang Li Foods began as a traditional-market pork stall run by Chairman Zhang Jing-guo. His insistence on top-grade, hygienic pork, combined with high-tech, corporate management, turned the company into a specialized plant for fresh pork and prepared or processed meat products. To teach consumers how to choose healthy, premium meats, Xiang Li obtained the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Tourism Factory” approval in 2004 and opened its production lines for educational, entertaining tours. Thus was born the Energetic Pig Brand Culture Hall, where visitors learn everything about pigs and, after the tour, can buy related products in the retail area.
