Spanning a vast area in the Tiaosong District, Qing Cheng Lake originally served as an irrigation pond of the Cao Gong Canal and is the largest lake in Kaohsiung City. Known for its three bridges, six highlights, and eight attractions, the scenic area includes a 7-kilometer circular trail around the lake. Walking along the shoreline route, visitors can enjoy pavilions and terraces dotted along the way, while the rich natural ecosystem consistently attracts migratory waterfowl, making it a delightful place to enjoy leisure, appreciate scenery, and embrace tranquility. One of the Three Notable Attractions: The Nine-Section Bridge The 230-meter-long Nine-Section Bridge is renowned for its winding structure, adding layers of beauty to Qing Cheng Lake. As travelers stroll across the bridge, its elegant white design casts a reflection upon the emerald waters, forming one of the most captivating sights at the lake. This spot, especially during a full moon, earns its name as "Hooking the Moon at the Curved Bridge," one of the Eight Scenic Views, as the moon's glow mingles with ripples in the lake. Panoramic city views from Zhongxing Tower Following the trail, a prominent traditional-style pagoda becomes visible. As the highest structure in Qing Cheng Lake, the seven-level Zhongxing Tower features a white body and red arches within an octagonal Chinese pagoda style, standing out against the lush tree cover. Inside the tower are 169 double-tiered spiral stone steps. From the summit, visitors can take in the entire lake and its surroundings while gazing at the skyline of Kaohsiung City, with distant views of the bustling harbor. Maze Garden Ranked the largest ecological maze garden in Taiwan, this attraction received the 2022 Golden Melody Award for Architectural Landscaping. Seen from above, it resembles a mandarin duck with heart shapes. The site includes interactive facilities for families and is a top choice for family travel. The hobbit houses, inspired by *The Lord of the Rings*, offer a fairytale-like scene without needing to travel abroad. Additionally, the vibrant tube maze (a 120 cm high structure composed of large underground conduits) transforms children into Super Mario, allowing exploration within the tunnels. The surrounding area features open green spaces, blending nature with leisure. Children can enjoy concrete slides and grassy areas for play.
