Xian'an Temple was established when the Wu family, early settlers of Dacheng Township, invited the idol of "Baosheng Dadi" to be enshrined in Dacheng in 1666. A temple was later built to house the deity and has since become the township’s principal center of faith. The temple’s construction—such as its stone pillars and timber members—is intricate and finely crafted, making it an important religious building in Dacheng Township and earning it designation as a historic structure by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Changhua County.
