Wu Yongmao, also known as Ah Mao, the founder of Yimite, has over thirty years of experience in making cakes and pastries. Born and raised in Su'ao, Yilan, he often helped his mother deliver snacks to the fields to feed his father and siblings who worked as farmers. This experience deeply instilled in him an appreciation for the hard work of farming. Although he later achieved great success operating a mochi factory, upon returning to his hometown, he saw abandoned farmland, which brought back memories of his parents' disappointed eyes. This inspired him to utilize the land passed down by his father to create Yimite Creative Food Hall, combining local ingredients to promote traditional rice-based desserts and pastries. By combining the long-term research and development capabilities of Hao Han Food, which specializes in making mochi, jelly, and innovative pastry dough and fillings such as snowberry cake, three-Q cake, and grass jelly cake, Yimite developed surprisingly delicious mochi skin that changes one's perception of mochi. Mochi that cannot be consumed on the same day can be frozen and stored, and after thawing, it still retains its chewy texture, similar to freshly made mochi. In addition to providing various rice-based desserts, jellies, and pastries, the hall also features a tasting area where visitors can experience their creations. During the construction of the factory, the engineering staff unexpectedly discovered a cold spring, which was verified to have the same components as Su'ao Cold Spring, "carbonated cold spring," with a water temperature of around 22°C. The cold spring water is rich in carbon dioxide, and the cool, bubbly sensation on the skin feels invigorating. The venue also features DIY activities, a natural landscape area spanning over a thousand pings, an outdoor coffee bar, and a stage area with rich performances on weekends. All of these are designed to provide an incredibly relaxing leisure experience. Realizing that Taiwanese people are becoming increasingly concerned about food safety and the quality of leisure tourism, Ah Mao decided to return to his hometown and utilize the land left by his father and his thirty years of professional experience in developing desserts and pastries. He established Yimite Creative Food Hall, located in Su'ao, standing amidst lush green mountains and valleys, covering an area of nearly 5,000 pings. The hall aims to create an all-encompassing leisure park featuring delicious food, humanities, recreation, and scenic views.
