To continue with the Kaohsiung Metro's guiding theme of "using art to make friends with the world," the Bridgehead Metro Station has commissioned Dr. Zhu Bangxion of Meihong Kiln to create public art ceramic wall for Bridgehead Station. This massive ceramic wall artwork in the No. 2 exit/entrance measures 9 meters in width and 12 meters in height, named *Tian Gong Kai Wu* (天工開物). Comprising 1311 ceramic tiles and requiring over 70 metric tons of clay, the central geometric patterns symbolize the abstract consciousness of urban construction, while the upper and lower portions represent the land of cultivated sugarcane. A train hauling sugarcane cutting through the Bridgehead landscape disperses cloud and fog, marking the dawn of Taiwan’s modernization. This monumental masterpiece *Tian Gong Kai Wu*, stirring the soul, serves as the artist’s ode to the land and the most beautiful tribute to Bridgehead.
