The Penghu district’s first temple dedicated to the “Jade Emperor” was built during the Qing Shunzhi period. It has stood for just over 300 years, undergoing four reconstructions. In 1944, the temple was rebuilt to a total area of 609.89 square meters on a site covering 184.48 ping (approximately 61,000 square feet). The grand structure faces northwest to southwest and east to southeast and is Huxi Township’s first courtyard-style temple.
