The Diyuan Temple is located in the Liukui District Hongsuikeng area, adjacent to Cai Die Valley and the Louan Creek. It is a branch temple of the Niaosong Yuanshao Temple and ranks with Shenwei Tiantai Mountain and Miaochong Temple among the three major temples of Liukui. The temple's main deities are Buddha Shakyamuni and Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, attracting a large following and maintaining a vibrant presence with continuous incense offerings. Surrounded by hills and with a mountain behind and a watercourse in front, Diyuan Temple presents a tranquil and lofty atmosphere, exuding a serene detachment from the world. Built in a grand palace-style architectural design, its majesty is immediately evident. The main hall enshrines Buddha Shakyamuni, while the rear hall contains a reclining Buddha statue carved from a single camphor tree. The temple's eaves and pillars are adorned with exquisite painted motifs, developing a distinctive artistic style. Within the temple grounds are an art museum and a rock art gallery showcasing Buddhist artistic philosophy. The temple's exterior plaza houses 500 statues of Arhats, each carved from blue granite and displaying unique postures, facial features, and expressions, appearing vividly lifelike.
