Inner (Rear) Bay lies to the southwest of Neian Village and to the north of Wai'an Village, extending from the cave edge to the nose tip. Because it is located behind (north of) Neian Village, it is called Inner (Rear) Bay. In addition to the basalt geological scenery along the coast, there is a vast stretch of sandy beach with fine white sand and flat terrain, serving as a place for residents to splash in the water and engage in intertidal activities. It is also colloquially known as the White Beach.
The Neian Recreation Area is located at the base of a cliff beside the road; if you’re not careful, it’s easy to miss this beautiful scenery. A wooden boardwalk built along the terrain behind the beach connects the recreation area. The trail inside the recreation area is about 500 meters long, making it an excellent spot for watching and listening to the sea. From the wooden boardwalk and pavilion, you can see the far‑off Naozaiwei Cape on the western side of the northern pool. The soft sand and clear waters are the most attractive features of the Neian Recreation Area, and its scenery offers a lot of variety and interest.
An endless wide ocean, blue sky, and expansive white sand combine to create a scene that is truly intoxicating. The beach area changes with the tide; during low tide, the beach area seems to recede into the vast sea, creating an almost boundless sense. This shallow, level beach, suitable for splashing and watching the sea life, is worth staying at and observing.
