Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, located at the intersection of Chongde Road and Huanzhong Road in Beitun District, was completed in 2006. Built and owned by the Taichung City Government and operated by the Wuyang Group, it is one of Taiwan’s primary venues for international baseball tournaments. Currently, it serves as the main field for the Taichung Wei-Ta amateur baseball team of Taiwan’s Social Group A and as the home stadium of the Chinese Professional Baseball League’s CTBC Brothers. As Taiwan’s premier baseball stadium meeting international standards, Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is also the nation’s first ballpark built in an American-style framework. The stands offer wide sightlines, the surrounding grounds are expansive, and the stadium’s upper structure features a baseball-stitch design, symbolizing the landmark status of the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.
