Xuzuo Port Wetland is a national-level coastal wetland and the largest of its kind in northern Taiwan. It serves as a crucial stopover for migratory birds traveling south. Between October and May of the following year, visitors can observe nearly 200 species of birds, including Black-faced Spoonbills, Black-winged Stilts, and Little Egrets, as well as various plants, amphibians, and endemic species. Not only is this site one of the best habitats for birdwatching in Taoyuan, but it also functions as an open-air classroom to explore the ecological beauty of intertidal zones.
