In order to actively preserve and promote the Atayal culture, the county has specially planned and established the "Atayal Indigenous Cultural Industry Zone", which covers an area of approximately 1.67 hectares. The zone combines the tourism resources of the Tai-an Hot Spring area with Atayal culture, and features a museum, parking lot, hot spring experience area, and more.
The Atayal Museum showcases the distribution and migration of tribes in Tai-an Township, as well as an introduction to the cultural festivals and customs of the local Atayal people, along with photographs. The museum also displays cultural artifacts such as wood carvings, rattan weaving tools, woven clothing, and mouth harps. Additionally, the zone features a nighttime forest experience area and a traditional bamboo house area, allowing visitors to participate in immersive experiences.
The zone offers guided tours with lively and engaging explanations, aiming to enhance the national education and broaden the horizons of the people.
In addition to static displays, the outdoor area features a hot spring experience zone, weekend art performances, and a vendor area, allowing visitors to enjoy indigenous music and dance, as well as tribal cuisine.
The goal is to effectively promote the development of indigenous cultural tourism, pass down traditional Atayal culture, and showcase the rich cultural heritage and tourism resources of the indigenous people. The zone also provides recreational activities for visitors, driving the growth of the tourism industry in the hometown.
