Established in 1951 and approved by the Ministry of the Interior, it is one of over 5,000 educational institutions set up by the Seventh-day Adventist Church around the world. Its purpose is to cultivate talent and promote religious teachings. The school was initially located in Xindian, Taipei, but due to the rapid development of the area in 1973, the noisy environment began to affect the school's atmosphere. After a board meeting, it was decided to relocate to its current site in Yuchi, Nantou. The spacious square and grassy areas on campus are also popular spots for new couples to take photos and capture their special moments.
