Wuchu Ma, though the settlement is named Wuchu, is primarily a Liao‑surname community. The center of faith is the Chaoxing Temple, which enshrines Mazu and is commonly called Wuchu Ma. The temple is said to have been built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong and is the second inn in the West Loa Seven Kengs. In recent years, the community has been actively restoring the “Seven Keng Mazu Procession,” circling the 25 villages in Seven Kengs.
