雲林縣西螺鎮新街路32號
The Luoyang Fushen Laodama Mazu Temple, officially known as Xiluo Guangfu Palace, is dedicated to Mazu and commonly referred to as the “Xinjie Laodama.” Its sphere of belief encompasses 120 villages in Yunlin and Changhua Counties. The grand temple was rebuilt during the Shōwa era of Japanese rule, with top masters such as Wang Huo’ai, Chen Tianqi, Guo Xinlin, Jiang Jinxiu, and Liao Wu invited at great expense; it has now been designated a Yunlin County historic monument. [Incense legend]: It is said that in the early Qing dynasty the deity accompanied immigrants from mainland China to Taiwan, settling in Xiluo Street, Yunlin. The Guangdong and Fujian communities of the Luoyang area pooled funds to erect a temple to worship the Holy Mother, naming it “Guangfu Palace” (the temple’s stone ancestral censer is inscribed “Guangfu Heavenly Holy Mother, erected in the plum month of the xinmao year,” dating to 1751, before the temple itself was built). Common names: Luoyang Mazu, Xiluo Mazu, Laodama, Xinjie Laodama.
