The Houtong area, once centered on coal mining, features attractions such as the coal transport bridge, the Ruisan Coal Preparation Plant, the Japanese Shinto shrine, the Jinzihbei Ancient Trail, and Houtong Railway Station. To showcase the bygone splendor of Houtong’s coal-mining history, a park has been planned; visitors are invited to experience the beauty of its mining heritage and culture. The park’s Vision Hall occupies the former warehouse of the Ruisan Coal Preparation Plant. Through text and images it introduces the people, events, and objects connected with the coal industry, highlighting the distinctive character of the Houtong area. In the film “Bad Girls,” the heroine Adan’s family kung-fu studio was set at the side entrance of the Vision Hall, and the hero Justin’s dream bakery was also filmed here.
