Must-eat delicacies: Squid soup, Oyster omelet, Boneless goose meat, Meat balls

"Would anyone like to eat snake gallbladder or drink snake blood?" This phrase is usually only heard at Hua Xi Street Night Market.

Hua Xi Street Night Market is the first tourist night market in Taiwan, mainly selling various mountain and sea products, wild delicacies, and snacks. It is one of the most beloved attractions for domestic and international tourists. Every evening, you can often see foreign tourists holding travel guides searching for delicious food. In the past, this place was famous for snake-slaughtering performances and was known as the "Snake Street." Nowadays, under the awareness of conservation, most shops have transformed into health-conscious snake dishes, challenging the courage of diners.

The traditional Chinese-style gate architecture at the entrance of the night market and the red palace lanterns along the way are very distinctive. All the shops are well-established, with many shops having been around for over 30 years, ensuring both reputation and quality. The sweet soup with glutinous rice balls from Beigang, the rice noodles from Yon Bo, the boneless goose meat from Han Ji, the braised pork rice from Ah Yi, the traditional mixed noodles from Ah E... there are numerous delicacies that are too many to list. These traditional snacks, which seem like the specialties of a neighbor auntie, are all delicious and nostalgic. Welcome to come and taste them yourself!
