The Sandimen Township Scenic Bike Trail is located on Pingdong County Route 185 in Sandimen Township. It is the earliest mountain-side bike trail built in Pingdong County. The trail runs through the northernmost towns of Gaoshu and Sandimen townships in Pingdong County. The trail is approximately 42 kilometers long and is a circular bike trail. The route covers Hakka settlements and indigenous tribal villages and features simple country landscapes, rich natural ecology and human landscapes. This route is a good choice for cycling tours in Pingdong. The route connects Saijia, Koushe, Qingshan and Ma’er villages. The scenery along the route is charming, showing both the style of indigenous tribes and winding mountain roads. It is one of the favorite routes for cyclists. The suggested ride time varies according to individual riding speed and habit. When riding, wear a safety helmet, take sun protection measures and bring sufficient drinking water. Some sections have slightly steep slopes. During the ride, develop the habit of braking with both hands at the same time and pay attention to your own safety.
