台中市新社區中興街60號
Muxin Spring sprawls across more than eight hectares. Standing on the restaurant’s terrace, you are surrounded by an endless sea of pristine forest. Perched 600–900 m above sea level, the farm looks south to Jiutong Mountain, west to Taichung Port, and east to the Daxue Range. On the eastern side, a 300 m drop to the Dajia River bed gives a view as vast as gazing over Taipei from the 101 observatory. At dusk the sight is breathtaking: the entire Taichung Basin glitters below like an ocean of neon, while overhead the sky is strewn with stars. Layer upon layer of ridges carry the farm. At dawn, watch the first blaze of sunrise; at twilight, the sky melts into gentle, rosy clouds. From the summit, clouds surge like tides. Beyond vision, sound is pure delight: the soft calls of birds—especially the cute bamboo partridge—and the murmuring Dajia River. Nature’s own music washes the soul. To protect the original landscape, every pavilion, path, and even rooftop is built in a simple, rustic style that blends into the mountains. A car park is provided, and the former 2 km farm road has been widened to a level 4 m lane. Along it grow cherry, azalea, wild lily, lavender, maple, day-lily, tung blossom… A dozen pavilions and several restrooms offer comfort; a 1 km footpath climbs and dips, each new angle revealing surprising perspectives of the restaurant below. Our aim is to share this beauty and to give city dwellers a sanctuary where concrete towers are forgotten, hearts relax, and weariness is rinsed away—hence the name “Muxin Spring – Bathing-Heart Fountain.”
