Shimen Reservoir is connected to over ten tourist attractions, its park areas feature lush greenery and include bike trails and yacht tours around the lake, providing visitors a variety of recreational options. Popular scenic spots within the area include the dam, spillway, lake-view wharf, Hsihchou Park, Hackle Tree Park, Nan-yuan Eco-attraction, and more. Shimen is also an ideal destination for flower viewing. In winter, golden maple leaves and white plum blossoms blanket the landscape, creating a visual Feast for visitors. Spring sees the area flourish further with peach, cherry, and azalea blossoming in vibrant profusion.
