Mission San Juan Capistrano is a historic mission located in Orange County, California. The site was originally established by Spanish missionaries in 1776 as part of the Spanish Mission System. Today, it stands as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Southern California.

The mission itself has undergone extensive restoration work over the years to maintain its original architecture and historical significance. Guests can explore various areas of the complex, including the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, which still holds regular mass services.

One of the mission's main claims to fame lies in its association with the annual migration patterns of the Cliff Swallow birds, known as "God's Little Smugglers," who arrive at the mission in late March each year.
