The 25.26-hectare North Hsianghu Lake Park is the second largest park in Chiayi City, after Chiayi Park. It is positioned as a forestry culture themed park. The North Hsianghu Lake Park recreates the "North Hsiang Autumnal Lotus" of the Eight Scenic Spots of Jhuo Luo recorded in Qing dynasty literature. The park has a North Hsiang Lake and over 2,000 shrubs and 70,000 trees of various types. Along with the adjacent Bo'ai Park and Pizitou Botanical Garden, they form the largest green space in the west district and become the lung of Chiayi City. The park has several attractions, such as Songfeng Pavilion, Cherry Blossom Forest, Pizitou Botanical Garden, and Grass Slope Landscape Area. Visitors come here for sightseeing and recreation.
