Ciguang Temple is located on Jianhu Mountain in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. The sacred mountain gathers elegance; in front lies the natural Jianhu Lake, whose living water reflects the sky all year round, while behind it the forest shade and cloud shadows of Jianhu Mountain stretch away. To the west, the vast Jianan Plain unfolds; to the east, the Central Mountain Range links with Dajian Mountain standing guard. Features of the site: Ciguang Temple has rebuilt its sanctuary twice, with the entire complex completed in October 2003 in a modest, restrained northern architectural style. Since Master Yuanjiao assumed leadership over thirty years ago, the temple has undergone two reconstructions, throughout which its programs of Dharma teaching, education, and charity have been carried out day after day without fail. Now, presenting a dignified sanctuary to the world, Ciguang Temple humbly rejoices, delighted to form countless karmic connections with monastics and devotees everywhere.
