"Qipanshi (Checkerboard Rock) is a natural wonder steeped in legend, located in Fusheng Village, Zhongliao Township. Here, gigantic boulders have been split by nature into perfect, square blocks that look just like tofu, leaving visitors speechless with admiration. It is said that immortals once played chess upon them; the immense rock, cracked by natural forces, forms a landscape resembling a chessboard. Mountains surround the site on every side, while this spot lies in a low, flat valley. Thin crevices between the stones are filled with green grass, forming green lines that mirror the grid of a board—a truly marvelous sight. Checkerboard Rock: wedged between two valleys, it forms a long, rectangular, low-lying vale. A slender stream meanders through, bringing a touch of cool refreshment.
