However, the straight and long coastline offers opportunities for walking, watching the sunset over the Taiwan Strait, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The area is lined with primitive Casuarina and palm trees, providing shade and a serene atmosphere. Visitors can take a leisurely walk, ride a bicycle, or simply sit and enjoy the sea breeze and the scent of the trees. It's an ideal place for families to spend their summer vacation. This forest recreation area is a historically significant Casuarina windbreak forest, now divided into three main zones: "Parent-Child Forest", "Holiday Forest", and "Longevity Forest". The area stretches approximately 8 kilometers from the north end of Qijiao Seawater Bath to the south end of Zhonggangxi Estuary, covering about 150 hectares. The Longevity Forest, Parent-Child Forest, and Holiday Forest south of Longfenggang have well-maintained surfaces and facilities, making them popular spots for locals to relax, hike, and observe insect ecology. The "North Beach Forest Park Recreation Area" on the north side of the fishing port offers a scenic route to Qijiao Seawater Bath, featuring beaches, wooden boardwalks, and stunning ocean views. Visitors can also see offshore wind turbines, which create a picturesque scene with the white wind turbines spinning in the wind. Parent-Child Forest: This area features various outdoor recreational facilities made of natural wood, such as rope bridges, slides, and wooden pillars. It's an ideal place for children to play and explore, while parents can join in on the fun. Longevity Forest: The facilities in this area focus on providing rest and relaxation for visitors. The entrance features a colorful lotus pond with green-headed ducks swimming in it. The area also has various aquatic plants, including water candles, making it suitable for outdoor teaching. Holiday Forest: This area has various pavilions and stone tables and chairs for picnics and relaxation. It also has well-planned leisure bicycle paths leading directly to Parent-Child Forest and Longevity Forest. The bicycle paths are made using ecological engineering methods, preserving the natural terrain and maintaining the original coastal forest landscape. The forest provides shade during the summer and blocks strong northeastern winds during the winter, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to ride a bicycle year-round.
