is a coastal settlement nestled within the Gangshou Township, where its name translates to "Sheep Pasture" in Amis. Once a site for raising sheep by the Amis people, today it brims with children-like charm through Jeanny Chou's artworks, driftwood-crafted flocks, and the internationally renowned Pawpaw Drum Ensemble that reverberates from its heart. Embark on a journey through 11 wall murals hidden in the settlement, following the footsteps of the little girl in Jeanny Chou’s afternoon springtime stroll, and discover the tranquil beauty of this village. , whose name in Amis literally means "where sheep are raised" (with "siri" symbolizing goats), once saw the Amis people utilize tidal patterns on Sanchi Island to rear their herds. Alarmed by the steady exodus of youth and the cultural discontinuity in the Amis' traditional age-class systems, the Sanchi Community Development Association, alongside locals, children, and artists, has jointly embarked on community-driven initiatives to rejuvenate this village. From the most authentic sound of the tribe—the Pawpaw Drum Ensemble—Pisirian is not only home to Jeanny Chou's art and wooden sheep but also houses the powerful, globally famed "Pawpaw Drum Ensemble." Comprised of local children, the ensemble strikes loud, rhythmic beats from handmade bombo drums and is accompanied by pure, crystalline vocals, embodying vibrant youth energy. When visiting Pisirian, consider reserving a performance to experience the raw, unfiltered soundscapes echoing along the Pacific coast. A burst of energy and vitality is embedded in the murals of Pisirian. On abandoned house walls, local youth and children have collectively painted massive artworks. Amidst warm hues—the interplay of red, yellow, and orange—a series of Jeanny Chou-style leaping white sheep dance playfully, mirroring the spirited running of children through the settlement. These structures have since been transformed into cozy guesthouses, allowing visitors to leisurely explore the Jeanny Chou-themed maze, art installations, and savor renewed local flavors while embracing the serene mountain-and-sea scenery of this hidden village.
