Jinlong Kiln was founded with traditional ceramics, and its daily production mainly focuses on wine urns, water jars, flower vases, and daily ceramics. The factory was established over twenty years ago. In the early years, Mr. Li Yi-wu came to Taiwan from Fuzhou to start his business. He passed down his expertise to his sons, Li Ming-tian, Li Zhao-qing, and Li Zhao-chun, who established Jinlong Kiln. The business has now been passed down to the third generation, represented by cousins Li Jin-ming and Li Rong-guo. The company still follows traditional methods, with a focus on hand-pulled ceramics and shaping as its main products. The decorative ceramics industry emerged in the 1960s and almost replaced traditional ceramics. The recent industrial transformation has made it even harder for traditional ceramics to survive. In order to ensure the long-term operation of the family business, Jinlong Kiln has sought to break through and innovate. The company, which was originally known for its traditional water jars and wine urns, has now transformed to create modern and aesthetically pleasing lotus flower pots. It has also incorporated Hakka elements into its designs, producing uniquely styled tableware and beautiful ceramic lamps. In this beautiful garden located in the deep mountains, visitors can personally experience the joy of working with clay. Through hand-pulling or hand-molding ceramics, they can learn about the traditional ceramic-making process and create a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece.
