Luzhu Gou is a fishing village located in Sanguang Village, Beimen District, Tainan. In the early days, there were many river mouths and gullies between the northern shores of the entrance of Jiangjun Creek to the west of Sanliao Bay. The villagers had to build bridges with Luozhu (a type of bamboo) to cross the gullies to enter the village. This area was therefore named Luzhu Gou. Luzhu Gou Fishery Harbor, also known as Beimen Fishery Harbor, is one of the three largest fishery harbors in Tainan. The harbor has a hundred motorized wooden boats and is the largest wooden boat harbor in Tainan. The wooden boats are often used to transport oysters from oyster farms and are also frequently hired by recreational anglers to go offshore fishing, enjoying the coastal fishing fun. Luzhu Gou Fishery Harbor is adjacent to the oyster farm. From the harbor, you can look out over the neatly arranged oyster racks on the farm. At dusk, the rosy clouds appear, and the lake surface is also dyed with bright colors, forming a spectacular and soothing fishing port scenery that attracts many photography enthusiasts to set up their tripods to capture this scene.
