The Xian Tian Gong Temple is located in Dongshi Harbor, Chiayi County, and has a history of over 300 years. The temple, built facing the sea, is majestic and magnificent, and is the center of faith for local fishermen. The temple enshrines gods such as the Five Lords of the Qian Sui, the Emperor of Good Health, and the Qian Sui of Ji Fu. The Wangjian Festival, held every 5 years, is an event mainly held to commemorate the Wangjian that was welcomed from Waisandingshou Island, and is the most important festival of the Xian Tian Gong Temple. The lantern riddle event, which takes place over three days during the Lantern Festival, is another century-old tradition of the Xian Tian Gong Temple.
