花蓮縣鳳林鎮中華路164號
The Hakka Cultural Museum in Fenglin Town, located within Fenglin Park, is the first Hakka cultural museum in eastern Taiwan. Although not large in area, its collections are quite rich. The first floor introduces the pioneer records, beliefs, transportation, and daily necessities of Hualien's Hakka people; the second floor showcases traditional clothing and early Hakka farming tools, such as wind fans, two-letter harrows, mortars, etc. Notably, these farming tools were voluntarily donated by local residents. In addition, exhibits on the production of Hakka rice cuisine and vegetable buns, as well as the cultivation of the "Three Treasures of Hakka Agricultural Pioneering"—rice, corn, and sweet potatoes—also leave a deep impression. The museum's historical resources are very comprehensive. Visitors can obtain a condensed yet complete understanding of the Hakkaland development history of Fenglin Town, while gaining broader insights into Hakka migration history in eastern Taiwan. Since it is situated in Fenglin Park, after absorbing abundant knowledge, visitors can also freely relax in the park, simultaneously experiencing the pleasure of both learning and recreation.
