The only landscape in Taiwan that even Kuafu can't catch up with - the Shei Ri Tower!
The 【Shei Ri Tower】is the most representative new landmark in Chiayi City, located in Chiayi Park. As long as visitors look up, they can see a giant purple Jacaranda flower, shining brightly against the blue sky. The purple Jacaranda flower is the city flower of Chiayi City, and it is through the Shei Ri Tower's design that its beauty is fully displayed.
This round building, with the city flower as its inclined top, was originally the site of the old Martyrs' Shrine. The 62-meter-high Shei Ri Tower offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Chiayi City from its 10th and 11th floors. At the entrance, there are two bronze sculptures of clouded leopards, symbolizing Taiwan's guardian spirits. The base of the tower is the 【Martyrs' Shrine】, where the tablets of martyrs are made of white marble, allowing visitors to pay their respects.
The second floor and above is the Shei Ri Tower. To change people's stereotypical impression of the old Martyrs' Shrine, this building has made significant breakthroughs in both interior and exterior design, incorporating more humanistic and artistic elements.
